Job description

Responsibilities

This position is eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $24,000 in Student Loan Assistance.

Utilizes the nursing process to identify patient needs and priorities of care through assessment, planning, and delegation of care based on patient needs, therapeutic interventions, and evaluation of the patient's response. Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.

Essential Functions

1. Performs triage by assessing patient’s health, continuously monitoring; detects changes in symptoms, health, or pain, and takes necessary action; and quickly and accurately assesses patient care needs.
2. Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
3. Sets priorities in the care plan based on assessed needs and anticipates personnel, supplies, and equipment required to care for patients based on assessed needs.
4. Works collaboratively with providers to provide exceptional care.
5. Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
6. Provides patient and family education.
7. Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, using the appropriate format and forms.
8. Maintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas.
9. Practices safe work habits, complies with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies.
10. Utilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

• Current RN license in the State of Kentucky.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (within 90 days of hire).
• TNCC certification (within 12 months of hire).

$30.00 - $43.50 per hour
