This position works under the general supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider, and/or nursing leadership to deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Multi-Specialty ICU. The unit cares for a diverse population of Medical ICU and Cardiac ICU patients, including those with complex medical conditions, STEMI, post-cardiac catheterization procedures, heart and lung transplant evaluations, and advanced heart failure. As a member of the UT Southwestern Multi-Specialty ICU team, you will gain experience with advanced cardiac assistive devices and specialized procedures while working alongside a highly collaborative and supportive team. Education
Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program
License and Certifications
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Texas Board of Nursing or with a multistate license from Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
BLS/ACLS accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
