Job Summary: As an RN, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include assessment, recognizing health issues, creating and evaluating care plans, and monitoring patient responses. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks appropriately.
Essential Functions
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs; create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
- Build relationships, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism in therapeutic connections.
- Reflect patient values in care plans to resolve issues.
- Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members; assess learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create care plans, delegate tasks, and follow up promptly.
- Use problem‑solving strategies with patients, families, and staff; prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, and commit to continuous growth.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience.
- RN license.
- BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of starting.
