Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced RN for the ICU/Coronary Care unit in Globe, AZ. The position covers nights on a travel contract for 13 weeks, with 36 guaranteed hours per week and a pay rate of $68–$70 per hour.

Candidates must have 3+ years in critical care, be able to float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, Step-Down, and Observation, and hold BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience: 3 years in critical care nursing.
• Ability to initiate and titrate vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedation.
• Ability to manage mechanical ventilation and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Deliver critical-care nursing care in ICU/CCU for post-surgical and post-cardiac patients.
• Monitor hemodynamics, operate ventilators, and interpret telemetry.
• Administer fluids, blood products, and medications per physician orders.
• Float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, Step-Down and Observation units as needed.

• Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per assignment; guaranteed hours do not apply to those canceled shifts

The six-bed MOSU provides comprehensive nursing care for patients with conditions and needs including:

• Post-surgical recovery


• Post-cardiac catheterization and post-PCI care


• Respiratory failure


• Sepsis


• Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)


• Acute kidney injury (AKI)


• Unstable arrhythmias

Patient-to-Nurse Ratios

• Critical Care: 2:1


• Step-Down: 4:1

Required Clinical Experience And Skills

Candidates should have strong critical-care nursing experience and be able to demonstrate competency in:

• Initiation, titration, and management of vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedation
