Job summary

Mercy Hospital Fort Smith is seeking a travel RN for a 13-week night shift assignment on the ICU/CVICU/Surgical/Neuro unit. You will provide specialized nursing care for a medically complex patient population in a 38-bed unit and document using EPIC EMR.

Requirements include at least 2 years of RN experience with ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications; a 90% pass on the medication and math competency test is required to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license and minimum 2 years of RN bedside experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for medical, neuro and CV surgical patients.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and orders.
• Monitor and respond to clinical changes; manage equipment including vents, hemodynamics, CRRT (plus).
• Complete the required 90% competency score on medication and math tests.

This night shift role involves caring for a primarily medical patient population, with some neuro surgery and CV surgery cases. You will be responsible for providing specialized nursing support in a 38-bed facility, utilizing EPIC electronic medical records. Expect to work 36 hours per week, with every other weekend off. The role offers the opportunity to work with equipment like vents, hemodynamics, and CRRT (a plus). The position requires at least 2 years of experience, with certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Passing a medication and math competency test is mandatory to ensure patient safety, with a required score of 90%.
