Job Summary and Qualifications
Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered Nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families.
Daily responsibilities include assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.
What you will do in this role
- You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- You will provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients.
- You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
- You will monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- You will assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team.
Qualifications
- RN licensure by KY Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
- ICU experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- BLS required.
- Must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer from non‑ICU area.
- One to two years clinical nursing preferred.
