Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This assignment is a 13-week contract in the United States, with a day shift 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM and rotating to nights roughly every 12 shifts, plus every other weekend.

You will monitor critically ill patients, administer medications, educate families, and collaborate with the care team. BSN and RN license are required; ACLS/BLS certifications; Epic charting experience mandator y; charge

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• BSN degree is required.
• Minimum 2 years MICU experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Charge experience preferred.
• Epic charting experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, ensuring timely intervention and care adjustments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate records of patient progress.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Float to ICU, intermediate, and telemetry units as needed.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, rotating to night shifts approximately every 12 shifts over the contract duration. The night shift will be from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Every other weekend shifts are required, including Fridays and Saturdays.

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will manage critically ill patients in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, while supporting the goals and objectives of the unit.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, ensuring timely intervention and care adjustments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate records of patient progress.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and expected outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license required.
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
• Certifications required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
