Job summary

SCL Health seeks a Registered Nurse to perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks, assessing and evaluating patient health status at Grand Junction. The role includes patient education, care planning, and collaboration with the care team.

Requirements include ASN, current RN license, BLS, ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate, and 1 year of experience. Shift is 3-12hr Nights with weekends; on-call not required, may float as needed.

Qualifications

• ASN degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS as required for unit or service.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to patients.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Refer patients for further evaluation as needed.
• Promote mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.
• May float to other departments within competency.
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Job Summary

• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.
• Evaluates health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
• Performs health teaching and health counseling.
• Provides therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others.
• Executes delegated medical functions.
• Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.
• Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
• Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Uses resources as needed.
• Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
