Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Critical Care Unit in the United States. This role requires 12-hour night shifts with weekend scheduling, caring for critically ill patients in a 20-bed ICU, including COVID-19 and post-procedural cases.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, with a focus on those requiring intensive monitoring and treatment. The unit has 20 beds, and a significant portion of the patients will present with conditions such as COVID-19, cardiac issues post-angioplasty, and various complications from medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide direct bedside care and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current ACLS and BLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Valid nursing license required; candidates without EPIC experience will be considered.
