Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an ICU RN for a 13-week contract in Austell, GA. The role is night shift with 12-hour shifts (6:45pm–7:15am). Requires ICU experience and RN licensure.

Must hold BLS and ACLS certifications and be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Responsibilities include performing nursing processes, delivering patient-centered care, and collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a preceptor/mentor for staff as needed
  • Promotes evidence-based practice and compliance with policies and standards

Description:The RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers.They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care.They practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and supported through a Shared Governance Model.The framework for practice is guided by a Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice and research.RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by core values.

All RN Clinical Nurses Critical Care are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the applicable Nurse Practice Act.They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards set forth by the American Nurses Association.As a member of the patient services team, individuals must uphold the voice of the patient while supporting service excellence goals.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:

  • Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the delivery of clinical care.
  • Provides relationship-based, patient-centered care that is consistent with specific characteristics of the population.
  • Partners with the patient and significant others, ensuring effective communication and informing them about the plan of care.
  • Practices using current clinical practice standards.

Teamwork and Collaboration:

  • Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration by promoting fiscal responsibility and retention of healthcare team members.
  • Participates and supports performance improvement initiatives and promotes shared governance.

Professional Development and Initiative:

  • Completes all required professional competency assessments and mandatory education.
  • Serves as a preceptor and mentor for other professional nurses and staff.

Evidence-Based Practice and Research:

  • Promotes evidence-based practice and nursing research.
  • Upholds organizational policies and clinical competencies to ensure legal, regulatory, and accreditation compliance.
  • Participates in data collection and consults experts to address practice questions.

Resources and Support:

  • Plans for patient care across the continuum while giving direct patient care.
  • Participates in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve the best practice outcomes.
  • Supports efficient and effective use of resources.

Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:Associates Nursing or Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor's in Nursing - Preferred.
