Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate and deliver individualized care across patient populations. You will assess needs, plan and implement care, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes while maintaining compassionate, culturally sensitive patient interactions.

The role requires Virginia RN licensure eligibility or current license, BLS-HCP, and proficiency with EPIC.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or approved nursing program eligible to sit for the Virginia RN licensure examination.
• Current Virginia RN license or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; may require ACLS, PALS, NRP depending on unit.
• Computer skills for electronic medical records (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with care team to develop and modify age-appropriate interdisciplinary care plans.
• Provide patient/family education and document within EMR.
• Support performance improvement activities and patient advocacy.
