This job provides administrative/clinical support to facilitate the delivery of patient care based on the nursing process. Assists in the monitoring of quality care by ensuring the efficient use of resources.

Education

Required - Registered nurse diploma.

Preferred - Associate's degree in nursing.

Work Experience

Required - 3 years of RN experience.

Preferred - Critical care or charge nurse experience.

Certifications

Required - Current RN license in the state of practice.

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Preferred - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and CCRN.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to various levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to move throughout the department, hospital, and between off-campus sites.
Job Duties
  • Serves as a resource to the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
  • Rounds frequently throughout the shift to identify issues needing administrative action and communicates them to the appropriate level.
  • Supervises and leads staff effectively.
  • Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria suitable for the patient population.
  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, explaining procedures, requesting permissions, and adjusting communication styles accordingly.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
