Job summary

Sanford Health's Bemidji Medical Center in Bemidji, MN, seeks an RN to join the One Call department in a part-time capacity. You will demonstrate expert clinical and administrative skills, coordinating admissions and transfers while supporting patients, families, and staff.

The role requires a BSN and RN licensure with BLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred. The position offers rotating 12-hour shifts, with a two-week schedule and 24 weekly hours, in a comprehensive benefits environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate expert administrative knowledge along with clinical skills and critical thinking.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred from a nationally accredited program.
• Current unencumbered RN license in state of practice. BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Job Summary

Demonstrate expert administrative knowledge along with clinical skills and critical thinking. Coordinate admissions and transfers of patients. Manage staffing needs. Serve as a clinical and administrative resource for providers, staff, patients, and families. Conduct clinical and staff rounding and facilitate the flow of patient care. Provide back-up assistance for staff. Participate actively in clinical, quality, safety, service, and work flow improvements. Manage clinical projects with the opportunity to serve on committees. Schedule is every third weekend (Saturday/Sunday 0600-1830 day shift) with weekday shifts 1800-0630 (night shift). Schedule is based on a two week schedule (48 hours a pay period).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Specific services/positions may have additional education, training, or experience requirements.

Currently holds an unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific certifications.
