Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital seeks a Supervisor of Nursing Administration to lead administrative and clinical nursing operations during off-hours. The role partners with nursing leadership to enhance patient care quality, financial performance, and satisfaction among patients, physicians, and staff.

Candidates should hold a BSN, provide evidence of ongoing education, current BLS from the American Heart Association, and at least 5 years acute care experience. Clinical certifications are preferred.

Job description

The Supervisor of Nursing Administration has responsibility and accountability for the administrative and clinical functions of patient care services during the hours when other management and administrative staff are not present on-site. In conjunction with the nursing leadership works to improve the quality of patient care, strengthen the financial performance of the department, and to improve patient, physician, and employee satisfaction. Serves as a role model and provides clinical expertise to the department staff. Acts as on-site resource person for hospital-wide problem solving and decision making. Identifies safety concerns and institutes measures to provide a safe environment for patient and staff.

Required Experience

Required:

• BSN Required
• Evidence of continuing education
• Current Basic Life Support Card from the American Heart Association
