Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an RN House Supervisor to serve as the clinical leader and operational authority on-site during designated shifts. You will oversee nursing leadership, staffing, patient placement, and throughput across College Station and Brenham campuses to ensure safe, high-quality care.

This role requires Texas RN licensure, 3 years of bedside acute care experience, current BLS/ACLS, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state.
• Minimum of 3 years of bedside nursing in an acute care hospital.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, leadership and families.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Staffing & resource allocation across two facilities based on acuity and census.
• Bed management, admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize patient flow.
• On-site clinical leadership and nursing resource during designated shifts.
• Guide and support nursing staff with clinical guidance and problem-solving.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Apply Lean principles to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
• Prepare reports and manage equipment and inventory as needed.
• Support education and development of supervised staff.
