Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Correctional House Supervisor in Grants, New Mexico to lead daily nursing operations in an institutional setting.

The role requires supervising nursing staff, ensuring licensure and policy compliance, and providing direct patient care as needed, including triage, assessments, and medication administration; two years of nursing experience and supervision are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess current licensure in the state of employment.
• Two years nursing experience required.
• One year's supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Warden/Facility Administrator or Health Service Administrator for daily clinical operations within the medical department.
• Manage and supervise daily nursing/clinical activities.
• Supervise nursing and non-licensed health care providers; train new employees; evaluate performance; schedule subordinates; approve leave.
• Provide direct patient care within licensure scope; apply nursing skills in inmate care.
• Ensure adequate staffing; fill in during short-staff periods; perform physician orders, examinations, medication handling, emergencies, and intake screening.
• Perform triage and physical assessments; direct emergency care and obtain treatment orders.
