Ernest Health, Inc. is seeking a RN House Supervisor for Summa Rehab Hospital in Akron, Ohio. This full-time role oversees nursing staff on the assigned shift and ensures continuity of patient care within a state‑of‑the‑art inpatient rehab setting.

The RN House Supervisor will participate in care delivery, apply current nursing standards, and contribute to a patient‑centered environment. Benefits are offered through Summa Rehab Hospital and Ernest Health partnerships.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• One year recent experience in acute care setting.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise administrative nursing services on the assigned shift and coordinate activities of nursing personnel.
• Provide professional nursing care to patients within the assigned unit.
• Incorporate the hospital’s mission and guiding principles into daily practice.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Current state Registered Nurse license required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• One (1) year recent experience required. Acute care setting preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Knowledge of and adherence to current nursing theory and practice, infection control, and wound care standards of practice.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards to ensure adherence to all standards set forth by state and accrediting agencies of TJC and CMS.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures, and utilizes proper policies, procedures, and guidelines in caring for patients.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
