Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking a capable RN with Level 3 NICU surgical experience to join a cross- unit neonatal care team. The role requires BLS and Advanced NRP, with readiness to float among NICU satellite campuses and higher-acuity units.

Applicants should be comfortable managing line changes with multiple drips and providing pre/post-operative care in a fast-paced environment across PICU, CVICU, and NICU settings.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required.
• Experience in Level 3 NICU with surgical exposure is essential.

Responsibilities

• Float between PICU, CVICU, and NICU satellite campuses as needed.
• Care for newborns with surgical conditions and complex lines/drips.
• Perform pre- and post-operative care and line changes with multiple drips.

Job description

• Will consider Level 3 RN if they have STRONG surgical experience from a Level 3 NICU that performs surgeries on newborns and- MUST MENTION IN SUBMITTAL
• BLS
• Advanced NRP
• Willing to float between units (PICU & CVICU) and NICU satellite campuses (Rancho Springs, Palomar, Scripps Encinitas, Scripps La Jolla, and Scripps Mercy)
• Must have own transportation
• Experience in: Oscillator, conventional ventilator, CPAP, Nasal Cannula specialty gases, PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC UVC PAL lines, trachs, ostomies, and G-Tubes. Must be comfortable with line changes that have multiple drips, pre and post op care.
