Job summary

Mercy Hospice seeks a Community-Based RN to provide skilled nursing care for terminally ill patients in their homes across Washington, MO and surrounding areas. Typical hours are Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., with options for career advancement and community-based support. Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians, ensuring adherence to nursing standards, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Must have an active Missouri RN license.
• BLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled professional nursing care to terminally ill patients at their home.
• Coordinate with physicians to implement and update care plans.
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards and patient safety.
• Document patient progress and communicate with families.

Position Qualifications

• We require a nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Must be a licensed driver.
• A current RN license in the state of Missouri.
• BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association required.
• For PRN we require: Recent hospice or long term care experience. Experience with issues related to death/dying and bereavement preferred.

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
