Job summary

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver Hospice nursing care to patients, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with on-call rotation as needed. Responsibilities include patient care under the supervision of the Director of Hospice.

Requirements: Associate degree in nursing or BSN, Texas RN license, BLS certification, and immunization records; two years of Home Health/Hospice/ER/ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing or BSN required.
• Current Texas RN license (Board of Nurse Examiners).
• BLS for Healthcare Provider is required.
• Two years of Home Health, Hospice, ER, or ICU experience preferred.
• Immunization records and health background screening may be required.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to Hospice patients.
• Report to the Director of Hospice.

Scope of Responsibility

Registered Nurses provide nursing care to patients placed in Hospice care.

• Associates Degree Nurse or Bachelors of Science Nursing Degree

  Training and Experience
• Current licensure with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
• Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
• Two years of Home Health, Hospice, ER, or ICU experience preferred
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) certification preferred
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current insurance coverage
