Job summary

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our hospice team. You will provide compassionate in-home care to patients and support families in the final stages of life across private residences and care facilities.

Responders collaborate with physicians and other health professionals, supervise aides when needed, and document patient progress while ensuring safety and comfort. A valid RN license and reliable transportation are required; home health experience is

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license, automobile liability insurance, and have dependable transportation.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience is strongly preferred.
• Previous home health or hospice experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice care to patients and support families in private homes, residential facilities, and other settings.
• Collaborate with physicians and health-care professionals to monitor patient status and changes.
• Supervise licensed vocational/practical nurses and nursing aides when applicable.
• Demonstrate compassionate communication, keen observation skills, high ethical standards, and prompt escalation of changes in patient conditions.

Responsibilities

Enhabit Hospice RNs work with patients, their families, and other health care professionals during the final stages of patients' lives. Our nurses work in private homes, residential care facilities, nursing centers, and other hospice care environments. They may also supervise licensed vocational/practical nurses and nursing aides. Our nurses must be capable of compassionate communication with patients and families, have keen observation skills, high ethical standards, and knowledge of when to alert doctors and others about changes in patients' conditions.
