Job description

Maxim Healthcare is hiring in Eugene for a Registered Nurse to work night shifts with a pediatric patient in their home. This position is for up to 50 hours per week, with 1-2 nurses needed to staff 5x10 hour shifts. The patient's family is flexible regarding start and end times. The patient requires support with g-tube, trach, and vent care.

Pay starts at $45 an hour.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services provided to clients receiving contracted services, as required.
• Initiate the plan of care as directed and request revisions from the prescriber as patient needs change.
• Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and report to physicians or supervisors.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor and document their effectiveness.
• Review care plans and protocols, and identify areas for education, care coordination, and discharge planning.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in the practicing state.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year RN experience preferred.
