Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home care for pediatric and/or adult patients in the Richmond, VA area. The starting pay range is $38-$42.50 per hour, with rates negotiable based on experience and skill level.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering nursing care, initiating plans of care, administering medications, monitoring patient status, and coordinating with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the practicing state.
• Current Health Certificate.
• PPD or Chest X-Ray as required.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises as patient needs change.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed; monitors effectiveness.
• Assesses changes in patient status and reports to physician/supervisor.
• Reviews care plans and educates patients and families; coordinates discharge planning.

Maxim Healthcare out of Richmond VA, is hiring for a Registered Nurse to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in their own homes.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
