Job summary

CareRing Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to perform comprehensive home health assessments and deliver patient-centered care in clients’ homes in the Bowie, MD area.

The RN will admit clients, develop and implement physician-approved care plans, monitor patient status, educate families on medications and procedures, and coordinate care with the clinical team. CPR certification and acute care experience are required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
• Minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience with heart, lung, and physical assessments or demonstrated ability in similar areas.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to employ critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Accepts client admissions and weekend on-call assignments.
• Provides comprehensive nursing care using the home assessment, nursing diagnoses, and physician-approved care plans.
• Performs treatments ordered by the physician.
• Observes signs and symptoms and reports them to the supervisor/physician as appropriate.
• Notes changes in physical or emotional status of clients.
• Assesses nutritional needs and diet as ordered by physician.
• Educates patients and families on medication and procedures.
