Job description

Corewell Health is offering a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for this position.

This position will service the Comstock Park and Belmont areas for Home Care.

About the unit

Our Visiting Nurses Association is our Home Care Skilled Nursing Team for West-Central Michigan. We are accepting applications from experienced RN’s, LPN's, and new grads! For experienced RN’s, this is an autonomous position that allows you to utilize your top nursing skills and critical thinking. Working in home health enables you to treat patients in the comfort of their homes, promoting thriving and ownership of their healthcare. We assign personalized visits close to home, typically 5-7 patients per shift, across Ludington, Baldwin, Nunica, Kent County, Ottawa County, and as far south as Gun Lake. Our Corewell Health West Visiting Nurses Team is dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.

Scope of work

Under the supervision of the Nursing Manager and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the nurse uses clinical judgment to assess and implement treatment plans for patients. The RN monitors, detects, plans, and takes appropriate actions to prevent physiological complications related to health problems or medical treatments.

Qualifications
  • Associates in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's in Nursing within 5 years preferred.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • MI Driver’s License required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
