Job summary
Networks Connect is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RN) Hematology/Oncology for telephone triage in Indianapolis, IN. This temporary-to-hire (16-week contract) role involves assessing patients by phone, guiding care decisions, and coordinating with care teams.
The ideal candidate has an Indiana RN license, 2+ years in clinical nursing, and a hematology/oncology background. Orthogonally, strong communication and EHR skills are essential for success.
Qualifications
- Active Indiana RN license.
- 2+ years clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in telephone triage or remote patient care preferred.
- Hematology/Oncology nursing background preferred.
Responsibilities
- Telephonic assessment of patients’ symptoms and histories.
- Provide triage guidance and care recommendations.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and meds.
- Document interactions and care plans in the EHR.
- Collaborate with physicians, NPs and pharmacists to coordinate care.
- Identify and connect patients with community resources and support services.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for telephonic triage.
