Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks a part-time registered nurse to join our hematology/oncology/cellular therapy unit. The RN provides direct patient care and coordinates nursing care across the patient care continuum within a fast-paced, hospital-based unit.

The Nurse Residency program is highlighted for new graduates, with comprehensive orientation and a focus on career development. Schedule includes 7am and 11am starts, 12-hour shifts, and weekends on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program, as recognized by ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA.
• One year of RN experience required.
• All entry-level associate degree RNs with an RN start date of April 1, 2020, and after must provide evidence of BSN within five years.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on‑call.
• Internal applicants must attach their three most recent performance appraisals.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• BLS must be valid for 90 days post start date; additional state licensure and/or specialty certification as required.
