Job summary
AdventHealth Kissimmee is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for an oncology role to support cancer patients and families. The nurse will float to Celebration as needed, with a day shift from Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, providing bedside care, education, and coordination of treatments.

Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse in Florida.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Oncology nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide supportive resources and education to patients and family members on treatment and side effects.
- Teach patients and families about treatment expectations and procedures.
- Assist the benefits team in obtaining authorizations for chemotherapy and infusion-related treatments.
- Facilitate communication by answering voicemails, emails, texts, and Microsoft Teams messages.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, coordinating various aspects of oncologic patient care.
- Triages and treats cancer-related issues, including administering and monitoring chemotherapy treatments.
- Inputs chemotherapy treatment orders as per the ordering physician and coordinates treatment appointments with the infusion center.
- Monitors patient adherence to oral chemotherapy medications and all other medications ordered by the physician.
