Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Corpus Christi is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing.

The RN will plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization, while accessing community resources.

Qualifications

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment; AHA approved.
• ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising patient care on the unit.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and family teaching.
• Engage in interdisciplinary planning and access community resources as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities.
