Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide population-specific care from newborn to age 105. The RN will assess, evaluate, and interpret patient needs, and perform based on those findings.

The role reports to the Charge Nurse/Assistant Director/Director of Perioperative Services. Requirements include RN licensure by the Missouri State Board of Nursing, BLS, and ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• RN graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Active Missouri RN license with current credentials.
• PALS required if PACU; ACLS if sedation procedures; BLS required.

Responsabilités

JOB SUMMARY:

The RN / GN must have the skill and knowledge to provide population specific care from newborn through age 105. He/she must have the ability to assess, evaluate, identify, and interpret the requirement and needs of the patients and perform based on those findings.

The RN / GN reports directly to Charge Nurse/Assistant Director/Director of Perioperative Services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: RN graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid, current license by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. PALS certification required if working PACU. ACLS certification if caring for patients having procedures with sedation. BLS Certification required.
• Work Experience: Prefer one year experience as medical/surgical staff nurse. Successful completion of hospital orientation. Membership in professional organization desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

• Demonstrates the knowledge of needs and task for SDS/PACU/Endo such as assessments, obtaining patient history, critical thinking skills, notifying physician as needed, specimens, handwashing, etc.
• Holds self and other staff members accountable and responsible for work performance and continuous improvement of patient in his/her work area and throughout the hospital.
• Ensures self-compliance with professional, regulatory and government standards of care.
• Demonstrates teamwork through communication, cooperation, coordination, and conflict resolution with others and implementing multidisciplinary actions to provide continuity of care.
• Ensures the satisfactory completion of clinical procedures, documentation, educational and procedural teaching of the patient and their significant other/parent before and after surgery.
• Other duties as assigned.
