Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO seeks a Behavioral Health RN - PRN to provide structured nursing care within a psychiatric/behavioral health program. Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA or within 30 days of hire.
• Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for shift duration.

Mercy Behavioral Health Services provides a structured and therapeutic environment to individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders and substance use disorder. Here at Mercy our dedicated multi-disciplinary team promotes a structured therapeutic program to help those in crisis through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy and relapse prevention.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
