Job summary

Mercy Springfield is seeking registered nurses to provide patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate care with other departments. You will maintain patient rights and confidentiality while upholding Mercy Service Standards.

Mercy offers a year-long Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area and includes graduates and select experienced nurses for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Maintains RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS required; other unit-specific certifications may be required.
• ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, C-EFM or equivalent certifications may be required.

Nurse Residency Available: Mercy Springfield offers a year-long Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area in which each nurse is hired. All graduate nurses participate in the program, along with select experienced nurses based on their individual experience and professional development needs.

Position Details

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

• CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
