Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, patient-centered care in a specialty GI and Pulmonology setting. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, evaluate care effectiveness, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality while upholding Mercy’s mission and service standards.

Responsibilities include assisting in admission, procedure room circulation, and recovery/discharge duties across hospital and outpatient areas.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, patient education, and safety practices.
• Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and policies.
• Strong communication with patients, staff and the public.
• Basic computer and data entry skills for clinical information.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, patient-centered nursing care.
• Evaluate care effectiveness of other direct caregivers.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
• Take on admitting, circulating, and recovery/discharge roles as needed.
