Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for the GI Laboratory to provide direct nursing care, including assessment, planning, education, and evaluation for assigned patients.

You will coordinate care with the GI team and other care disciplines to maintain the flow of patient care, ensuring documentation and adherence to ACLS and Conscious Sedation requirements. Shift: Days, Whittier, CA.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license.
• ACLS certification.
• Conscious Sedation module completed within 1 year of hire or transfer to department.
• Previous GI Lab experience preferred.
• 1 year med/surg. experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care including assessment, plan of care, education, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Coordinates the delivery of care provided by other care team members and disciplines to maintain patient flow.
