Job summary

Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct patient care across perioperative and GI lab settings, with a Monday–Friday day shift and 9-hour shifts. This role includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits beginning on day one.

Qualifications

• RN license required.

• 9 Hour Shifts, 4 Days per Week
• 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Minimal Call - OR takes first call - GI Lab takes secondary call, 2 weekdays per month - Ending at 11:00 p.m. - Rarely called back
• No Weekend Call
• GI Lab Preop, Circulating, and Recovery Room
• Prefer candidate with 1 year of RN experience.

Job Summary

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.

Job Responsibilities

• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Uses critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Evaluates patient's response and modifies plan of care accordingly throughout the patient's stay.
• Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in professional development and lifelong learning.
• Boone Health has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
• Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
