Job summary

Boone Health in Columbia, MO is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing standards.

This role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus, tuition forgiveness eligibility, weekend option pay, Accredited Nurse Residency Program and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing required.
• Diploma or Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on illness/injury management, including post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Uses critical thinking to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team per established standards.
• Promotes patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts care plans as needed during the stay.
• Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Engages in professional development and lifelong learning.
• Safety-sensitive position; maintain alertness and safe work practices.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Overview Job Summary

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.

Job Responsibilities

• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Uses critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
