Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week with night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am.

You'll provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision of licensed professionals, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Eligible candidates should have an accredited nursing program diploma, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details:

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
