Job summary

Optum is seeking an experienced Telephone Case Manager RN to support a diverse member population with education, advocacy, and connections to necessary resources. This remote role operates Monday through Friday, 8 AM–8 PM, nationwide across the U.S.

Responsibilities include assessing health status, addressing barriers, educating patients, and coordinating with Home Health Aides or Meals on Wheels. A compact RN license and 3+ years in case management are required.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state you reside in.
• Compact RN license required in a Compact license state.
• 3+ years of experience in case management, hospital, acute care or direct care settings.
• Ability to type and navigate a Windows based environment.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday. Business hours are 8 AM - 8 PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

This is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive, and thorough dealing with our members over the phone. solid computer and software navigation skills are critical. You should also be solidly patient-focused and adaptable to changes.

Required Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state you reside in
• Compact RN license required ; someone who resides in a Compact license state
• 3+ years of experience in case management, hospital, acute care or direct care settings
• Ability to type and navigate a Windows based environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN
• Background in managed care
• Experience or exposure to discharge planning
• Experience in utilization review, concurrent review, or risk management
• Experience in a telephonic role

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
