Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks an RN to provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain patient rights and confidentiality. You will coordinate care with other departments and ensure adherence to Mercy Service Standards.

Requires graduation from an accredited RN program and an active Missouri RN license. BLS required; ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC certifications may be required based on unit.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certifications may include ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, C-EFM depending on unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and professional staff.
• Maintains accountability for provision of patient care and evaluates care effectiveness.

Education

Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.

Licensure

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical requirements/demands

• - Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• - Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• - Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Experience

Certifications:- Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

• - C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• - Other unit-specific certifications as required.
