SCOPE OF POSITION
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to assigned patients within established standards and policies. The RN practices autonomously within professional standards and state regulations, delivering age-appropriate care, delegating appropriately, and performing assessments. The RN aims for favorable outcomes, ensuring safe, high-quality healthcare, and accurately documenting in electronic systems. The role requires current clinical knowledge, critical thinking, participation in quality improvement, and serving as a professional role model and resource. Ability to wear PPE as needed is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The RN must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least an AD degree or diploma and hold a valid RN license in the state of employment. Must complete necessary competencies for the role. Additional certifications such as AHA BLS are required; advanced life support courses may be necessary for specific departments.
