Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center is seeking a PRN RN for the Fast-Track/FSED Rockport location to join our Emergency Department. You will assess patient pain regularly, perform procedures and monitor care, and document thoroughly in the medical record while delivering compassionate, timely service.

Ideal candidates have ER experience and certifications (ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS) with date-bound requirements. This role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within the HCA Healthcare network.

Qualifications

• RN license and ER experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications must be obtained within specified time frames.
• CPI and trauma course requirements should be completed within 30 days of start date.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateTrauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour, or PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Emergency Room experience required
