Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted New York State RN license.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience preferred.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Excellent assessment, communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and health evaluations.
• Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed.
• Monitor patient health status and report changes to physicians and team.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
• Educate individuals, families, and support staff on health needs.
• Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and nursing standards.
