Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Family Maternity Center. The FMC RN will provide total direct nursing care within established standards, policies, and guidelines, and will collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver high-quality maternal care.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, patient education, and coordinating care with families, while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (Nursing Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN)
• Licensed RN in Washington or hold a multistate compact license (NLC)
• Minimum 1 year of postpartum RN experience
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS by date of hire
• NRP certification within 4 weeks of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and acts as a patient advocate.
• Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient and family education.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care with patient/family involvement.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.
• Communicates relevant information to supervisor, timely and clearly.
• Documents changes in patient condition and alerts appropriate personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Wage Range: $48.21 - $87.11 per hour

Job Summary:

Registered Nurses on the Family Maternity Center (FMC) are responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Primary Duties:

• Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
• Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
• Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
• Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
• Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
• Effectively communicates all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in a timely manner.
• Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

• Graduate of a nursing program (Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and/or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree)
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington OR holding a multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license
• Minimum one (1) year of current Postpartum RN experience
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
• NRP certification within 4-weeks of hire
