Highmark Health in Jefferson Hills, PA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Float Pool. This full-time role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in a dynamic hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will hold PA RN licensure (or multi-state eNLC), CPR, and meet state clearance requirements. A specialty certification is preferred, and the organization offers a collaborative environment with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

What You'll Do

• Assess human responses and plan nursing care for individuals or families.
• Provide transformational leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate clinical care.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process to implement patient care plans.
• Analyze health status and determine patient care needs.
• Document changes in patient condition and notify appropriate personnel.
• Accept assignments in areas outside of the primary unit as needed.
• Promote compassionate communication that is patient and family-centered.

Education:

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through eNLC preferred.

Experience:

• Certification in area of specialty preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current RN License in Pennsylvania.
• CPR certification required.
• Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearances required.
