Job summary

Parkridge East Hospital in Tennessee is seeking a Registered Nurse for the RN Float Pool to deliver direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act. You will assess patient needs, execute physician orders, administer medications, monitor vitals, and educate families as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role involves making staff assignments based on patient acuity and staff skills, serving as a clinical resource, and ensuring timely follow-up with physicians and patients.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Tennessee
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS within 6 months of hire
• 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, monitor vital signs
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation
• Educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team
