Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Acute Care System Wide Float Pool. The Float Pool covers adult acute care, telemetry, and transitional care units at Edgewood, Grant County, Covington, Florence, Ft. Thomas, and Dearborn facilities.

Assignments may involve ED, PACU, or ICU, with a 36-hour weekly schedule and a 7P-7A shift. This role emphasizes evidence-based care, teamwork, and professional growth within a renowned health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited School of Nursing with a BSN and licensed to practice in Kentucky and Indiana, or state license letter of eligibility.
• Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures and medication calculations.
• Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures.
• 18-month minimum clinical RN nursing experience and successful completion of preceptorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based clinical care to designated patients using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care following ethical and cultural practice standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in all patient interactions.
