Job summary

South County Health in Wakefield, RI seeks a Float Pool RN to coordinate total nursing care across units, deliver nursing care through the Nursing Process and participate in patient and family teaching with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Job description

The Float Pool RN coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary approach in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Provides comprehensive care for the life span of patients, where applicable. Effectively delivers patient care through Nursing Process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Implementation and evaluation.

• -Float 1:Acute Care Med Surg Patient on any unit:: Med/ Surgical, Borda, Ortho, Telemetry, ICU, & WNCU (Med Surg) will be paid an additional $3.00 per hour incentive.
• -Float 2: Cardiac rhythm Recognition, ACLS certification, monitoring of patients on continuous cardiac monitoring/telemetry, All Level I Units plus ED and WNCU (post-partum) will be paid an additional $4.00 per hour incentive.
• -Float 3:Additional skills to manage Critical Care patient (for example: BiPAP/CPAP, intubation, mechanical ventilation, invasive monitoring, conscious sedation). All Level I and II Units (Independent/ Full Assignment). Includes PACU will be paid an additional $5.00 per hour incentive.
• -Float 4:Additional training to procedural nursing specialty areas: All Level I, II, and III Units and IR, Cath Lab, Endo will be paid an additional $6.00 per hour incentive.
