Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, WA is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide professional care across emergency, medical-surgical, telemetry, and ICU units. The role requires strong clinical judgment and flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs and staffing requirements.
Minimum of 2 years in critical care or emergency nursing is required. WA RN licensure (or eligible), BLS/ACLS/PALS as specified, and hospital-based orientation support are included with this role.

The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care across multiple units within the hospital or healthcare system based on patient care needs and staffing requirements, including emergency, medical-surgical, telemetry, and the intensive care unit. This role requires a high level of clinical competence, adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to function effectively in fast-paced and diverse care environments. The Float Pool RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care while maintaining flexibility to adjust to varying patient populations and acuity levels across assigned units.
This position demands strong critical thinking skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal unit-specific orientation. The Float Pool RN supports organizational goals by enhancing staffing efficiency, maintaining continuity of care, and contributing to a positive patient and staff experience.
