Role Details

The Float Pool provides a unique experience attending to diverse populations of patients across many critical care units, departments, and locations while learning from top caregivers. As an RN, you will utilize your skills to enhance patient care wherever assigned, ensuring comfort and support. This role involves rotating shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One to two years of current acute care RN experience or military RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination.
• Extended standing and walking.
• Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
• Physical exertion requirements: exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently.
• Use of standard personal protective equipment.
