Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool covering Med/Surg and Tele at the Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center in Columbia, MD. The role involves floating between Med/Surg and Tele, with shifts rotating every 4 weeks between days and nights.

• ADN required.
• BSN preferred; must matriculate into BSN program.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required).
• CPR - Basic CPR Upon Hire (Required).
• Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for assigned patients on a shift to promote clinical outcomes.
• Provide direction to other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.
• Provide evidence-based care based on the nursing process policy, procedures, and protocols.
• Participate in quality clinical improvement and ensure cost-effective resource use.
